Nagpur: Taking a tough action, Jaripatka police have booked the hardcore criminal and gangster Hardeep Singh alias Goldie Kulwant Singh Bhullar (28), resident of Viktubaba Nagar, Patankar Square and his accomplice Zuzar Singh Kashmira Singh Dhillon (26), resident of Viktubaba Nagar, under stringent MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act, 1999 for their involvement in a number of criminal activities including extortion, attempt to murder, possessing arms illegally, damaging properties and several others of serious nature.
In the instant case, the complainant Rajkiran alias Chhotu Kevram Hariyani (37), resident of Plot No. 176, behind Dayanand College, Jaripatka, had mortgaged his friend’s car, an Indigo Maza, with the accused Goldie Kulwant Singh Bhullar and Zuzar Singh Kashmira Singh Dhillon for an amount of Rs 2.50 lakh with 10 percent interest. On January 3, 2016, Goldie phoned Rajkiran and told him to come to his house. However, Rajkiran did not go to Goldie’s house. But he went the accused Goldie’s house on January 13 following frequent phone calls. Goldie, armed with a rod, took Rajkiran to first floor of his house and showed a bracelet on the hand. Goldie asked Rajkiran to make that type of gold bracelet and give him before January 22 and if he failed to follow the diktat, he will be killed or his children will be kidnapped from their school.
Goldie again and again phoned Rajkiran and asked him to give him gold bracelet. Meanwhile, after coming out of jail, the accused Zuzar Singh Kashmira Singh Dhillon started demanding Rs 5 lakh including Rs 2.5 lakh as capital and Rs 2.50 lakh as interest from Rajkiran’s friend towards mortgaging of his car. As per demand, Rajkiran sent Rs 10,000 to Zuzar Singh through his servant Tarachand. He again gave Rs 70,000 to Zuzar Singh on January 22. Still, Goldie and Zuzar continued demanding the remaining Rs 4.20 lakh from Rajkiran and his friend and also threatened to kill them if they failed. Fed up with threats and money demands, Rajkiran lodged a complaint against both Goldie and Zuzar with Jaripatka police.
The complaint led to booking of Goldie and Zuzar under Sections 384, 385, 386, 34 of IPC.
On earlier occasions, both Goldie and Zuzar were booked by Jaripatka police for their involvement in serious cases of crimes. Finally, acting tough against the hardcore criminals, MCOCA was slapped against them.
