‘Gang war’ returns with Shootout at Borgaon in Nagpur

Nagpur: A local gangster Raja Wankhede a member of notorious Sumit Thakur’s gang was shot by by Pankaj Dhote, son of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena ex-corporator Mama Dhote at a Shambhu canteen in Borgaon on Wednesday night, signalling the return of gang wars in the city. The incident took place around 8 pm . Raja survived the attack.

According to sources, Pankaj Dhote has old dispute with the Raja. When Raja was sitting in the Shambhu canteen Pankaj opened fire, among which one bullet passed close from his ears and the other one cracked the glass of the car. Raja escaped from the spot.

A bullet case was recovered from the spot. 4 units of crime branch have been sent to fetch the accused.

Sources told Nagpur Today that Sumit came out of jail very recently. Place were the incident took place is flat were daily gambling takes place. Resident of the area has on number of occasion complained to local authorities regarding the same.

At the time of filling this reports no arrest were made by the police. More details is awaited
