Nagpur: In case where Jitendra Ramchandra Khadse aged 32 years and a resident of Chandan Nagar, Near Mahadeo Temple, Nagpur and working as a Store Keeper in MHADA Building, MHADA Colony had reported that between 08:00 pm of November 17, 2014 to 8:00 am of November 21, 2014, some burglars had managed to break into the lock of MHADA Building’s Store House. The burglars succeeded in stealing Door Bolts, Door Handles, Gate-Valves, TV-Cable Bundles, Pressure Valves etc totaling an amount of Rs 3,10,153/-.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by Store Keeper Jitendra Ramchandra Khadse, Sub-Inspector Gadge of Ganeshpeth Police Station had registered a case under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code against unidentified burglars.

The Ganeshpeth Police Personnel had started their investigation into the burglaries. On November 27, 2014, when the cops were patrolling, they saw two hard-core burglars who were involved in various cases of burglaries and house-breaking in the ground near Ankur Sweets Shop situated near the Main Stand attempting to run away the moment they saw the cops. However, they were soon apprehended and when they were questioned about the burglary mentioned above, the burglars accepted that they had broken into the store room at MHADA Colony and had stolen Door Bolts, Door Handles, Gate-Valves, TV-Cable Bundles, Pressure Valves.

The first accused is identified as Somnath alias Bala raju Jadhav aged 19 years and a resident of Cotton Market, Subhash Mandal, while the second accused is identified as Shahrukh alias Babbu Begh aged 19 years and a resident of Shaniwari area. The Ganeshpeth Police personnel arrested them and recovered stolen goods worth Rs 2,28,307/-.

The investigation and the resultant arrest was made under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone III Nirmala Devi and Assistant Commissioner of police Bhagat. The operation was led by Incharge Police Inspector of Ganeshpeth Police Station, Senior Police Inspector S P Nandanwar, PSI Anil Taksande, PSI Surajpal Rajput, Police Constables Sanjay Raysane, Tappulal Chut and Pradeep Sontakke.
