Four crooks abduct man at knife point, extort Rs 1.21 lakh with force of life threat

Nagpur: Jaripatka police have mounted a search to nab four criminals who reportedly abducted a 38-year old man at knife point, inflicted stab wound and then snatched Rs 50,000 from his pocket. The four accused with the force of life threat forced the man’s wife to part with cash of Rs 14,000 and ATM Card. Later, the four accused abductors withdrew over Rs 50,000 from an ATM.

According to police, the accused named Amol, resident of Samata Nagar, and his three accomplices went to the house of Nishant Shalikram Nandgave (38) in the wee hours (5 am) on Saturday and took him way to a secluded place on some pretext. The four accused inflicted a stab injury on Nishant’s right thigh and snatched Rs 50,000 from his pocket. Later, doling out a life threat, the accused Amol and his three accomplices forced Nishant to phone his wife and ask her to part with Rs 14,000 and the ATM Card. Armed with the ATM Card, the crooks withdrew Rs 57,500 from an ATM. A total of Rs 1.21 lakh were extorted from Nishant by the accused. Nishant was also warned by the four accused that he or his son will be killed if police was informed about the incident. However, Nishant gathered courage and lodged a complaint with Jaripatka police in this connection.

PSI Atram, acting on the complaint, booked the four accused under Sections 363, 386, 394, 120(B), 506(B) of IPC and launched a hun to nab them.
