To bring out Whitepaper to find answers to the problems of students

Students are the stakeholders of the University, efficient student and efficient education should be the bench mark. Students must emphasize on increasing their personal quality than blaming the system, said Vice Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur university(RTMNU) Dr. Vinayak Deshpande addressing hostel students on the occasion of  ‘International Student Day’ on Monday, November 17, 2014.

Dr Deshpande further added problems are no doubt there with proper discussion positive results as regards to student’s problem will be addressed. We will try to bring out white paper on the same. He elaborated that  students must understand the difference between information and knowledge, with only information  person cannot become knowledgeable. With ability and students dependability skill development can be achieved.

Graduate and Post graduate students from all the 4 university hostels participated in the programme.

P.HD and NET passed students raised recruitement concerns

During the interaction with the Vice Chancellor , some of the PHD& NET passed students raised lack of teachers recruitement issue in the university. Clarifying on that VC said that university has to abide by some rules, it is not solely on the administration to sanction posts. Most of the seats are sanctioned by the State and Central Government.

Replying to volley of questions from the students on library books access problem to  up gradation of syllabus . Dr Deshpande opined that students must think beyond syllabus. In higher education syllabus is a broad indication and aspect.

Also speaking on the occasion after taking charge as Pro Vice Chancellor  Dr Murlidhar  Chandekar on Monday , addressing the students said that students psychology should be understood and value addition in regards of skill development of students should be pursued.

Those prominently present during the function were Vice Chancellor Dr. Vinayak Deshpande, as Pro Vice Chancellor  Dr Murlidhar  Chandekar , Student welfare Director  Dr Velukar, Warden Dr Sai Indurwade  and Media Co- ordinator (RTMNU)  Shyam  Dhond .

Shyam Dhond gave the introductory remarks. Amit Zapate  conducted the proceedings of the programme and Snehal Waghmare gave the vote of thanks.
