Firing incident in parking lot of Tuli Jaswant Mall

Nagpur: In what could be mentioned as an act of revenge to settle scores of old enmity, a youth fired at a middle aged man to settle scores for an old on-going enmity.

According to police sources, this incident occurred in the basement parking lot of Tuli Jaswant Mall. Sources claimed that on January 15, 2016 at 12:30 am the victim identified as Manoj Jagadish Sharma aged 45 years and a resident of Joona Basti, Kamptee area had gone to Jaswant Tuli Mall along with his son and a friend of his son to watch a movie.

After the movie, when the victim Manoj had gone to retrieve his vehicle parked in the Basement Parking Lot of Jaswant Tuli Mall, three accused were said to be waiting for him. The accused identified as 1. Vijay Yadav, 2. Santosh Yadav and 3 Jagua and other three accomplices, 4. Kushal Sharma, and 5. Satyajeet Sharma all said to be residents of Kamptee area had illegally gathered in the Basement Parking Lot of Jaswant Tuli Mall.

On seeing the victim, accused No 1. Vijay Yadav fired from his Mauser gun (or country made pistol) at the victim, while accused No 3. Jagua and his three accomplices had attacked the victim with knives on his head and other parts of the body. The victim was grievously injured in the attack. The victim was rushed to a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

On receiving the information, the cops of Panchpaoli Police Station reached the spot and after completing the panchanama, registered a case under Sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 324, and 307 of Indian Penal Code and under Arms Act 3, 4-25.

The Panchpaoli Police is investigating further.
