Five members of a family were booked for thrashing their son-in-law and molesting his sister over a trivial issue. The incident took place under Koradi police station on April 19.
The family was reportedly annoyed over the marriage of their daughter with him, as both tied the knot against their wish. On April 19, the accused Gunnulal Bisen (50), Ganesh Bisen (21), Pushpa Bisen (40), Nitesh Padangade (21) and Sohail had a tiff with the complainant over a trivial issue of filling water. The dispute later turned to the old topic, fumed over which the members attacked him.
The accused along with their accomplices barged into the house of the complainant and thrashed him and his wife badly. They also abused his sister and used foul language against her, thus, molesting her.
On the basis of the complaint, Koradi police registered an offence under sections 143, 147, 149, 294, 325, 354, 452, 506 (b) of the IPC.
