Family of four dupes aged, illiterate woman with Rs 5 lakh in land deal

Nagpur: Four members of a family systematically duped an aged and illiterate woman to the tune of Rs 5 lakh in land deal. The three accused family members prepared bogus document and grabbed a plot of the woman.

The accused Dharampal Sheshrao Lokahnde (43), resident of Naka No. 4, Nagpur, negotiated a deal with the woman Sulochana Tulshiram Nandanwar (70), resident of Plot No. 70, New Ganesh Nagar, Nagpur, for purchase of her plot. The accused Dharampal gave Rs 1 lakh to Sulochana toward agreement amount. Meanwhile, other three accused Shobha Dharampal Lokhande (35), Shailesh Dharampal Lokhande (20) and Sunil Dharampal Lokhande (18) prepared a bogus possession letter draft on Rs 500 Stamp Paper wherein it was shown as Sulochana was paid Rs 4 lakh in cash in the land deal. Taking advantage of uneducated Sulochana, the accused made her to sign the Stamp Paper blindly. However, the cheating came to the notice of Sulochana and later lodged a complaint with Kalamna police.

PSI Dere registered an offence against the four members of Lokhande family under Sections 468, 471, 420, 34 of IPC and probing the matter further.
