Nagpur: One of the most well known charitable organisation –‘Nagpur Round Table 83’ organized its 29th Annual General Meeting at a city hotel.
The meeting commenced with a loyal Toast to the President of India, ahead of which the Notice convening the AGM was read. Following the above was the signature singing of Round Table India Song, reading of Aims and Objectives of RTI and introduction and welcoming of the guests and visiting Tablers.
The communications and greetings were shared, after which an indulging session of the appointment of Sergeant-at-arms took place, wherein, leg-pulling added to the amusement at the event.
A quick session was evinced with the presentation of Gifts and Awards by the outgoing chairman to tablers excelling in the responsibilities assigned to them, during the year gone by.
And finally, the highlight and most awaited part of the evening was the announcement of the investiture of the incoming Office Bearers for 2015-2016, following the speech by the incoming Chairman Tr. Gaurav Agarwal gathered applauses, wherein he presented his team for the year.
The Annual Meeting was followed by a lavish Party. All the who’s who of city Nagpur attended the party. Members were seen enjoying the party and shaking a leg to the beats of famous bollywood numbers. The ladies looked elegant and their husbands did not lag behind to match up their beautiful wives. The strong bond of friendship between all the present members was the visible in the party.
But there was something that took the excitement and fun to the apex- the sargenting by Sahil Jain in which the members were made to answer questions, as a part of leg-pulling by Sahil. The session proved to be analogous to the trending ‘Roast videos’ being posted on various networking sites, in which the targeted person is made to answer embarrassing questions as a part of fun.
Smile on every face with glory of success was resplendent. Various awards were also given away by the outgoing president-
