Nagpur: A former storekeeper working in the office of Deputy Director, Mankapur Sports Complex, prepared forged documents and tried to cheat none other than the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court by filing a fictitious writ petition.

The accused, Avinash Suryabhan Avsare (36), resident of Plot No. 7, Baba Faridnagar, Koradi Road, was working as storekeeper in the office of Deputy Director, Mankapur Sports Complex. Avinash resigned from the service voluntarily on 5.1.2013. However, with nefarious designs in his mind, the accused Avinash forged documents to show he is still in regular service and filed a writ petition in the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court on 25.1.2016. The details of the writ petition could not be ascertained.

However, the cheating on the part of accused Avinash Avsare came to the fore in the subsequent scrutiny of the documents.
Mankapur PSI Tripathi, based on a complaint lodged by Subhash Bajirao Revatkar (54) of Sports Complex, has booked the accused under Sections 468, 471 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
