Nagpur: An elderly man was booked while a youth was arrested for molesting a 24-year-old girl and a 20-year-old in separate incidents registered in Sadar and Kotwali police stations.
According to information, a 24-year-old young girl was present in a canteen on Wednesday when 59-year-old Ishwar Araspure approached her. The accused came intimately close to the young girl and passed indecent gestures towards the girl and grabbed her hand. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim, Sadar police have registered an offence under Sections 354 (a) (1) (I) of the IPC and booked the man.
In the second incident, Kotwali police a youth was arrested for molesting a 17-year-old on Thursday. As per reports, the 17-year-old had gone to take out photocopies of some documents near Dagdi Gate, near Binzani Mahila College on Thursday around 1.30 pm. The accused, Sonu Ganesh Sahare (20), a resident of Deshpande layout, Vaishnodevi Square, Hiwri Nagar, stalked the victim. The accused then grabbed the girl’s hand and started hurling profanities her way.
The girl lodged a complaint with Kotwali police after which an offence under Sections 354 (d) and 294 was registered against Sonu and he was arrested.
