Educational Tour organised for faculty of Green Heaven Group of Institutions

Nagpur: The team of Green Heaven Group of Institutions, which includes staff of Green Heaven Institute of Management and Research; Green Heaven College of Education and Green Heaven Kids, Nagpur visited Lok Birdari Prakalp, Hemalkasa, Taluka: Bhamragad, Dist: Ghadchiroli on 25th and 26th July 2015 for a Faculty Educational Tour.

Hemalkasa Project is an extension to Lok Biradari Prakalp (LBP) (Marathi; Brotherhood of People project) a social project of the Maharogi Sewa Samiti, Warora involving a hospital, a school, Hostel for school children and other needy people and an animal orphanage.

This unique and noble project was started on 23 December 1973, by the social worker Baba Amte for integrated development of Madia Gond and was developed at Hemalkasa by Dr. Prakash Amte and his wife Dr. Mandakini Amte, who serve as the Medical Director and Medical Officer at the project respectively.

The Purpose of this educational tour was to learn and understand the services offered by Amte family and their companions in extremely unfavourable conditions and limited resources. During the visit the team envisaged Doctors, Teachers, Engineers and other professionals as products of Hemalkasa project.

This Project gives a message to youngsters that how educated people can help society for the development of the nation in very humble way. Anil Sharma and the staff made their small contribution towards this project by offering daily consumable items for Hospital and School.

The two day visit to Hemalkasa was initiated by Anil Sharma , Secretary, Jai Durga Bahu-Uddheshiya Jankalyan Sanstha, Dr. T. Kalyani, Director, GHIMR, Nagpur took special efforts towards success of this Educational tour. The tour was co-ordinated by Prof. Avinash Bhowate.
