Dragon Palace Temple, Deekshabhoomi will soon get world standard status, declares CM Fadnavis

DSC_3913Nagpur: “Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar is revered and followed not only in India but he is global leader in real sense of term. The Maharashtra Government is making all out efforts to bring Babasaheb’s leadership in front of the entire world. The Government has purchased the house in London where the great leader used to stay. The monument will be converted into an international memorial and dedicated to public in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he undertakes a visit to Britain on November 12 this year,” declared the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while inaugurating and performing bhoomipujan of various ventures in Kamptee on Thursday (Oct 22).

On the occasion, Union Surface Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari was present as Special Invitee while Guardian Minister and President of Mahotsav Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Social Justice Minister Rajkumar Badole, MP Krupal Tumane, Prince of Thailand Luyang Rajadharasiri and Founder of Dragon Palace Temple Sulekha Kumbhare were prominently present.

The Dhammachakra Pravartan Din Mahotsav has commenced at Dragon Palace Temple situated at Ogava Society in Kamptee. The Chief Minister Fadnavis inaugurated the Kamptee-based Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Cultural and Research Centre and Hall to mark 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr Ambedkar. He also inaugurated a Meeting Hall constructed by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation and performed bhoomipujan of Multipurpose Training Institute and Meditation Centre.

DSC_3921The Chief Minister further said that the Dragon Palace Temple is visited by tourists from the country and by foreigners as well. The Government is striving for providing the premises a world standard status. A Rs 270 crore plan has been prepared and sent to Central Government. As soon as the funds are made available, the work at Dragon Palace Temple will begin. Similarly, The State Government is planning to turn Deekshabhoomi as a memorial of international standards. For this, a retrospect plan is being prepared, stated Fadnavis.

DSC_3950“Construction of a state-of-the art memorial at Indu Mill land is glorious tribute to Architect of Indian Constitution from our Government on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s 125th Birth Anniversary year. The year is being observed as Social Justice and Equality Year. A provision of Rs 125 crore has been made for celebration of various programmes all round the year. In the next three years, Rs 450 crore will be spent in this respect,” announced the Chief Minister.

Founder of Dragon Palace Temple Sulekha Kumbhare delivered the introductory speech and also proposed a vote of thanks.
