Dr. Kavita Rattan, Founder President, Green Vigil Foundation won ‘Women of Substance Award -2015’ at an award function organized at Vasatrao Deshpande Hall, by Unique Slim Point & Beauty Clinic. Dr. Rattan won the coveted award for her outstanding contribution in the field of environment protection and sustainable development. Under her Leadership, her NGO, Green Vigil Foundation have conducted more than 100 campaigns towards sustainability, wherein, 250000 citizens were reached out on the concept of Green Living Practices and have educated around 50000 students on environmental issues.
Ms. LopamudraRaut, Ponds FeminaMiss India 2013- 1st Runner up was the Chief Guest of the Award Ceremony. Dr. Richa Jain, Dr. KIrtijaAjmera, Dr. Manju Jain, Mrs. SonalDhabekar graced the occasion.
In her winning speech, Dr. Kavita Rattan alerted citizens on the adverse effect of climate change due to anthropogenic activities and urged citizen to join hands to combat environmental crisis by adopting ecofriendly practices and sustainable lifestyles.
