New Delhi:
Delhi Daredevils batsman Rishabh Pant is slowly emerging as one of the best hitters in modern-day cricket.

Days after performing the last rites of his father ahead of IPL 2017, the left-hander set the tournament on fire with a sensational 57-run knock in the team’s opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After that match, Pant was hailed as a ‘braveheart’ on social media where several experts were bowled over by his commitment towards the game.

In DD’s previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Pant unleashed his brute power once again when he hammered veteran Indian pacer Umesh Yadav for 26 runs in an over.

Umesh, who has been in brilliant form in the last few months for the Indian team, was tonked for three sixes by Pant, who looked in a brutal mood.

Watch Pant’s onslaught here:

Pant’s knock came to an end in the penultimate over when he was caught by Gautam Gambir off Nathan Coulter-Nile’s bowling.

Pant has produced scores of 57, 31, 15 and 38 in the last four matches and with ICC Champions Trophy scheduled to be played in June, one might not be surprised if he is picked in the Indian squad.
