DCP Kailash Kanse bestowed with IPS cadre

The high-profile Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kailash Kanse, who joined the police service as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) in 1995, is the only officer from Vidarbha to be included in IPS cadre.

The Deputy Commissioner of Zone-1 of Nagpur Police Kailash Kanse made the city and Vidarbha proud when he was bestowed with the prestigious Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre. The DCP Kanse is the only Police Officer from Vidarbha to be included in the IPS cadre by the Home Department of Maharashtra Government. In all, 10 Police Officers were honoured with the IPS cadre across the State.

The high-profile Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kailash Kanse, joined the police service as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) in 1995 and then onwards served the police force in various capacities. The DCP served in Akola, Yavatmal, Ingoli and other places with the hallmark of an upright police officer. He has been the DCP of Zone-1 in the Second Capital since the past 3 years.

When Nagpur Today greeted him for the honour he received and sought his comments, the DCP Kailash Kanse, IPS, expressed his tremendous happiness on being bestowed with the Indian Police Service cadre. “This moment is most cherishing in my life in general and the police service in particular,” the DCP said with broad smile in his face.
