Nagpur: Another cyclist was crushed to death by an unknown speeding vehicle on Tuesday afternoon under the jurisdiction of Yashodhara Nagar police station.
The deceased has been identified as Rahul Yuvraj Uikey (23), a resident of Plot No. 108, Shivshakti Nagar, near Shitala Mata Mandir. According to information, Rahul was riding his bicycle when an unidentified vehicle that was coming in a high speed crushed the youth to death at Kalamna Ring Road, Chimurkar layout at around 4 pm on Tuesday. Onlookers rushed in to help Rahul but it was already too late.
Yashodhara police were informed about the accident after which they immediately reached the spot. Cops have sent the body for post mortem to Government Medical College and Hospital after performing panchanama. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 279, 304 (a) of the IPC read with sub sections 134 and 177 of the Motor Vehicle Act.
