Crime Branch cracks 7 burglaries, recovers 205 grams of gold

Nagpur News : City crime branch police has seized stolen gold worth Rs 6 lakhs from a notorious burglar Sagar Pujari who has confessed of committing burglaries at 7 places in city.

Pujari, 18, a resident of Bhande plot, confessed that he alone had broke open seven houses while his aides- Kiran Kaithe, 34, and Atul Gawande, 35, both resident of Bhande Plot, helped him to sell the stolen gold valuables to jewellers.

Police has also booked jewellers- Eknath Ugale of Sakkardara and Nilesh Choudhary, a resident of Tiranga square.

Senior police inspector Madhao Giri informed that Pujari in the accused in around more than 7 burglaries at Hudkeshwar, Sakkardara and Kotwali police station areas.

Pujari was earlier rounded-up for his alleged involvement in many house breaking cases.

Police informed that Pujari would often target the house in day light. He would alone break open the house. Kaithe and Gawande help him only to sell the stolen jewellery to city jewellers. Both are also arrested.

Police said that they are further investigating Pujari to crack more cases of burglaries.
