CP awards Cops for quick investigation leading to arrest of murderers of Yug Chandak

yugchandakpoliceNagpur: While lauding the efforts of police personnel of Detective Squad of Ganeshpeth Police Station, the Commissioner of Police K K Pathak, on September 19, 2014 awarded the cops with a cash prize of Rs 5000 each and a letter of appreciation.

A case was registered under number 287/14, section 363, 364 A, 302, 34 of IPC against unknown criminal who had kidnapped Yug Chandak. This case was registered in Lakhadganj Police Station on September 1, 2014.

This case attracted the ire of the masses and invited heavy pressure on the police to apprehend the criminals/ kidnappers. Keeping the sensitivity in mind, the Police Commissioner K K Pathak had formed special squads/team of skilled and experienced policemen in each police station.

The squad of Ganeshpeth Police Station strived hard and within 24 hours had succeeded in arresting the offender. They also succeeded in searching and locating the body of the slain Yug Chandak.

The Commissioner of Police K K Pathak, awarded the cops with a cash prize of Rs 5000 each and a letter of appreciation. The awards were given to Senior Police Inspector Sudhir Nandanwar, API Anil Taksande (Main role in investigating the case), ASI Pradeep Nagre, HC Madhukar Shirke, Praveen Gorte, Rajesh Tapre, Nilesh Gaiwat, Kishore Thakre and Yogesh Chapekar.
