Cops rescue minor girls, arrest one during raid at brothel

Nagpur News: Two minor girls were rescued and a woman was arrested during a raid conducted by Social Security Wing of Crime Branch, with the help of an NGO Pune Freedom Firm.

Cops raided a Sumitra building in Ganga Jamuna area where flesh trade was active. Two minor girls were rescued from the building who were forced into the flesh trade. Cops arrested Sumitra Kadamsingh Dhanawat (45), a resident of Ganga Jamuna for running flesh trade and forcing the girls into flesh trade.

Cops slapped charges under Sections 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA) and 366 of the IPC.

The raid was conducted under the supervision of Commissioner of Police K K Pathak and Deputy Police Commissioner Sanjay Saxena by Additional Police Commissioner (Crime) Sunil Kolhe, Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) G M Sakharkar, along with PI Kammle of Social Security Wing, SPI Barapatre, Patil, Head Constable Pandurang, Raju, Ganesh, Anita and Photographer Rewatkar.
