City Youth Congress celebrates Shivaji Jayanti in a novel way

City Youth Congress celebrate Shivaji Jayanti (1)Nagpur: The Nagpur Loksabha Yuvak Congress celebrated the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj the founder of Hindvi Swarajya in a unique way. The organization held a blood donation camp of Government Blood Bank and asked the artists from Kalasagar Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya to draw “Shivcharitra” in front of statue of Shivaji Maharaj situated at Gandhi Gate in Mahal to mark the occasion.

In the novel programmes, the artists drew several pictures of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj taken from “Shivcharitra.” Similarly, 107 activists of the Youth Congress donated blood at Government Blood Bank to pay tributes to the Maratha Warrior. The novel ventures of Youth Congress drew appreciation from all sections of the society.

Other dignitaries who visited the spot and appreciated the venture. Among those who attended the programme include Saoner MLA Sunil Kedar, MLC Prakash Gajbhiye, former Ministers Sulekha Kumbhare, Anees Ahmed, MNS leader Hemant Gadkari, Shriram Sena’s Ranjit Safelkar and other prominent personalities.
