City swimmers ready to shine inthe 15th World Swimming Competition in Canada

Three Nagpurianare all set to participatein the 15th World Swimming Competition to be held in Montreal, Canada. Three members of Nagpur JilhaPraudhJaltaranpattu Sanghatana are going to participate in the 15th world swimming competition which is being held between July, 27th to August, 10th. International swimmer and diver PrabhakarSathe, Anjali Shah and Dr. Sunita Dhote are representing India in the competition. PrabhakarSathe will be participating in the world swimming competition for the third time. A regular Swimmer for the past 52 years, PrabhakarSathe ready once more to represent India on the International level. In 2010,Prabhakar Sathe won two bronze medal in the same competition.

This is the first time two women are representing India in this world swimming competition. 59 year old Anjali Shah has won one gold, 2 Silver and two Bronze medals in 16th state level Master’s Aquatic Championship in Nanded. She bagged two Gold Medals in 10th Shri Chinmoy National Master’s Aquatic Championship, one for 100 meters backstroke and one for 1 meter spring board diving. She has also participated in “Sea Swimming” 2 Km and stood 3rd at Malvan, Sindhudurg (M.S.). Dr. SunitaDhote has been a national champion for last two years in high board and 3 meters diving. She also won two Gold Medals in National Masters Swimming Championship for 2012-2013.
