Chartered Accountants are the Financial Doctors of our Economy – Sudhakar Deshmukh

Nagpur: Indian Economy is growing at a very fast pace and very soon the world will see the progress of this country. In this fast growing economy, Chartered Accountants have to play a very important role. CA’s are the real financial doctors of our economy said Shri Sudhakarrao Deshmukh, Hon. MLA. He was speaking as a chief guest at the felicitation program organized by Nagpur Branch of ICAI for Members who qualified the examination of Certificate Course on Concurrent Audit of Banks as well as Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting & Fraud Detection. He said that it’s heartening to see that a person even after becoming Chartered Accountant continuous further education and try to grab more and more knowledge. He added that the financial crimes are increasing day by day. Under this case, it is important that thorough investigation should be done and the culprits should be identified and the funds should be traced.

Here role of Chartered Accountants who are nowadays working as forensic experts have to play an important role. Chartered Accountants do play an important role as a concurrent Auditor of Banks as wells as companies. I strongly suggest that services of Chartered Accountants should be taken by various Government Departments for timely identification of problems as well as take the services for improvement of the internal systems as well. Concurrent Auditor who actually works as an Internal Auditor should cover all the aspects and act as complete solution provider. There will be huge opportunity for Chartered Accountants in this sector. As far as Goods & Services Tax (GST) is concerned, all the problems being faced are temporary issues and very soon it will all be resolved. This will prove to be one of the most successful taxation reforms in this country.

Earlier, CA. Julfesh M Shah, Member of PR & CSR Committee of ICAI, New Delhi mentioned that a person should be students always and should always be eager in learning new things. Learning should be a process and should never stop. He was speaking as Guest of Honor for the aforesaid program. He added that the specialized courses which ICAI is offering are one of the best courses which have been designed for providing the best output in professional service. The numerous certificate courses are designed by the experts and branches should organize more and more such courses which will be beneficial for the professionals of not only Nagpur but of Central India. He appreciated the variety of activities being conducted at Nagpur Branch of ICAI for the Members and Students.

CA. Abhijit Kelkar, Regional Council Member informed that these Certificate Courses are necessary to understand the latest developments and also to have a grip on the subjects related to this important assignment. Banks have also realized the importance of these courses and due to this, these certificates are made compulsory for getting empanelled with banks for the related work.

Chairman of Nagpur Branch of ICAI, CA. Sandeep Jotwani in his welcome address congratulated all the members who have qualified in this Certificate Courses. He informed that becoming Chartered Accountants is not the end but just a start. ICAI has designed numerous Certificate Courses to train their members post qualifying the exams so that they should perform better in their professional areas. This is the world of Specialization, for which these certificate courses help in getting proper grip over the subject. More than 15 Certificate Courses are designed by the Institute covering multiple areas related to the profession.
