CBSE school students will have to buy only NCERT books

Nagpur: Now the CBSE school students will here after have to buy the NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) textbooks only. Till now the children studying in CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) schools were forced to buy the books published by a particular publication. This books were quite costly. Now school cannot force the children to buy books of another piublications. Since long soon after the admission in CBSE schools the children and guardians were asked to buy books of particular publication and sold by booksellers known to them, it is alleged. Finally, the CBSE took action as it was getting continuous complaints. It has sent notification to all concern schools.

According to CBSE the schools can have stall for the NCERT books in their premises. In these stalls there will be only NCERT books, and books of no other publication can be sold.

If any school found selling other publications’ books strict action would be taken against the schools. The schools can send demand for the books so that they can supply. CBSE has directed that the books, stationery, notebooks should to be sold at MRP price.

With the decision of CBSE the students and guardians have got a relief while it has curbed the high-handedness of schools.
