CBSE Results 2015: 10th board exam results announcement not likely today

Nagpur: While Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce CBSE class 10th results 2015 today, sources say results may not be declared today on May 21. Check CBSE board results on itsofficial websites cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in for updates.

It was earlier said that CBSE is ‘likely to’ announce class 10th board exams result today i.e. on May 21, 2015 but sources have confirmed that CBSE is not likely to declare the result today due to unforeseen circumstances.

In fact, sources have informed that result may well be announced next week.

Students are however advised to keep checking CBSE‘s official websites cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in for CBSE class 10th results 2015 related announcement.

According to CBSE, a total of 13,73,853 students were estimated to appear for class 10 board examination and 10,40,368 students for the class 12 board examination. CBSE also highlighted the fact that there has been a hike of 3.37 per cent in the number of students appearing in the class 10 board examination and 1.01 per cent hike in the number of students appearing for the class 12th board examination.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was set up in the year 1929 when on the suggestion of the then Government of India, a joint Board called ‘Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana’ was set up. The board saw rapid growth despite being confined to a few areas due to various State Boards and State Universities. In 1952, constitution of the Board was amended, its jurisdiction was extended and the the board was renamed to ‘Central Board of Secondary Education’.

Today, CBSE has 15799 schools (as on 15.09.2014) including 197 schools in 23 countries.
