Cash, mobile phones worth Rs 23.95 lakh stolen from showroom in Lakadganj area; no arrests

chapru-nagar-mobile-shop-thiefNagpur: A mobile phone showroom was targeted in the wee hours of Friday and goods worth Rs 23.95 lakh were stolen by criminals. No arrests have been made so far.

According to police, Vikram Mohanlal Chugh (32), resident of MIG 64, 1/23, near Sanskar School, Hiwri, downed the shutter of his showroom named Orange City Mobile Collection, situated near Dena Bank, Telephone Exchange Square, CA Road, on Thursday night. Meanwhile, some unidentified burglars broke open the shutter and entered the showroom in the wee hours of Friday. Once inside, the goons laid their hands on 30 mobile sets of Sony Company, 28 sets of HTC Company mobiles,  84 mobile sets of Samsung Company and cash of Rs 1,00,000. The collective value of stolen booty stood at Rs 23,95,517. The theft came to notice when Vikram arrived at the showroom for the routine business. A complaint was later lodged with Lakadganj Police Station.

PSI Gosavi registered an offence against the unidentified burglars under Sections 457, 380, 34 of the IPC and mounted a search to nab the offenders.

hutelkar under Sections 376(2)(I)(J), 354(A)(3), 506 of IPC read with Sections 4, 8, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and arrested him. Further investigation is underway.
