Burglars target wine shop, beer bar, cloth showroom, Rs 3 lakh booty stolen

Nagpur: Burglars targeted three business places, including a wine shop and a beer bar, and decamped with booty worth over Rs 3 lakh within a span of hours in Ambazari and Pratapnagar areas.

In the first case, a gang of unidentified thieves struck at Kwality Wine Shop at Bajaj Nagar Square between 10.45 pm of Thursday and 9.45 am of Friday. The burglars gained entry into the shop after breaking open the shutter locks and took away Rs 2 lakh cash from the drawer. On the basis of a complaint lodged by Dinesh Surajlal Pardhi (33) of Jaitala Road, Ambazari PSI Meshram has started investigations.

Around midnight of Friday, unidentified miscreant(s) removed the window grill of Shivsagar Karnakuti Bar and Restaurant in Pratapnagar area and gained entry. Once inside, the thieve(s) lifted liquor bottles of different companies as well as Bisleri bottles collectively worth Rs 72000 and made good their escape. The theft came to notice in the morning the next day.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by Sanjay Krushnarao Sontakke (53) of Ambika Palace, Hingna T-Point, Pratapnagar WPSI Godmale has registered a case under sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and probing the matter.

In the third incident, burglars targeted Mukti Showroom in Dharampeth and decamped with jeans pants, shirts worth Rs 1.25 lakh and cash Rs 10,500. The miscreants broke the shutters and entered the showroom.

Ambazari PSI Meshram, acting on the complaint of Sudhir Sitaram Sontakke (52) of Ambazari T-point, Hingna Road, has booked the accused burglars under Sections 457, 380 of the IPC and investigating the case.
