Burglars target house in Jaitala as family goes for Diwali shopping

Nagpur: Going for Diwali shopping proved costly for a family as their house was targeted by unidentified miscreant(s) who decamped with Rs 1 lakh cash and gold ornaments between 3.30 pm and 7 pm on Sunday. The theft took place in Jaitala area of MIDC police jurisdiction.

Ashok Sandhumi Lilhare (39), resident of Plot No. 4, Siddhivinayak Nagar, Jaitala, locked his house and went for Diwali shopping along with family around 3.30 pm on Sunday. Taking advantage of the Lilhare family’s absence, unidentified goon(s) broke open the lock of main door and gained entry into the bedroom of the house. The goons laid their hands on cash of Rs 1 lakh and gold ornaments worth Rs 50,000 and made their escape good. The theft came to notice when the Lilhare family returned home around 7 pm.

MIDC PSI Madankar has registered a burglary case under Sections 454, 457, 380 of the IPC and looking for the offenders.
