Burglars loot goods worth Rs 5.25 lakhs from shop and house

Nagpur: Burglars broke open the lock in a shop and a house and stole goods and cash worth Rs 5.25 lakhs in two separate incidents.

According to police sources, the first incident occurred in the wine shop of Manish Khaparde a resident of Gharoba Maidan. The Ajanta Wine Shop is said to be situated in Kamgar Nagar Square on Kamptee Road. On August 3, 2015, he closed his shop in the night and went home. The next day, when he entered his shop, he noticed that the window in the rear of the shop was broken. Unidentified burglars broke open the window to gain entry into the shop and stole cash worth Rs 4, 25,000/- (Rs Four Lakhs twenty five thousand) and some documents. The owner of the wine shop Manish lodged a complaint with the Jaripatka Police Station. Based on the complaint lodged by Manish the Jaripatka police has registered a case under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and have initiated an investigation into the burglary.

The second incident occurred in Hudkeshwar area. The victim identified as Reshma Chandrashekhar Dongre a resident of Vradant Apartments in New Amar Nagar had locked her house and gone out for performing night duty.
Meanwhile some unidentified burglars had broke open the lock on the main door and gained entry into the house. The burglars had stolen gold ornaments, goods and cash worth Rs 10,000/- in all worth Rs 1, 000, 00 (Rs one lakh) from her house.

The victim realized that she has been burglarized when she returned home the next day morning. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim Reshma, the Hudkeshwar Police registered a case under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and has initiated an investigation into the burglary.
