Burglars have a field day in Hudkeshwar and Ganeshpeth area; Rs 4.39 lakhs worth of goods stolen

Nagpur: The burglars and thieves seem to have lost the fear of law enforcement officials. The burglars succeeded in breaking into two houses in Hudkeshwar and Ganeshpeth area and managed to steal Rs 4.39 lakhs worth of goods.

In the first case, Naresh Ramkumar Shahu aged 41 years and a resident of Plot No 10, Durgesh Nandini Society, and Near Sai Baba Colony had gone to Raipur on some personnel work on November 25, 2014 at 10:30 am after locking his door.

Between 10:30 am of November 25, 2014 to 1:00 pm of November 26, 2014, the burglars had managed to break into his house. They then succeeded in breaking into the Almirah kept in the bedroom and stole Gold Jewellery and cash of Rs 5000 totaling an amount of Rs 1,29,800/-.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by Naresh Ramkumar Shahu, Police Sub-Inspector Wankhede registered a case under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code against unidentified burglars.

 

In the second case, Jitendra Ramchandra Khadse aged 32 years and a resident of Chandan Nagar, Near Mahadeo Temple, Nagpur and working as a Store Keeper in MHADA Building, MHADA Colony.

Between 08:00 pm of November 17, 2014 to 8:00 am of November 21, 2014, the burglars had managed to break into the lock of MHADA Building’s Store House. The burglars succeeded in stealing Door Bolts, Door Handles, Gate-Valves, TV-Cable Bundles, Pressure Valves etc totaling an amount of Rs 3,10,153/-.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by Store Keeper Jitendra Ramchandra Khadse, Police Sub-Inspector Gadge registered a case under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code against unidentified burglars.
