Nagpur: Unidentified miscreant(s) on Tuesday struck at the flat of Branch Manager of ICICI Bank and decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 2.84 lakh and Rs 15,000 cash.
The burglar(s) targeted the flat of Vinay Premkumar Daga (31) at Anand Palace, near Bhande Plot Square, after he and his wife left for work on Tuesday morning. The theft came to the fore when Vinay returned home around 4.30 pm and found lock of the front door of his flat broken. He noticed cash and gold ornaments which were kept in the wooden almirah missing. The apartment is situated on the main road and there were no security checks or CCTV cameras installed in the flat scheme. The burglar might have information about timing of the working couple and struck the flat at an opportune time.
The Sakkardara police have registered the case under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC and searching the accused.
