Bogus certificates racket busted in Pachpaoli, one arrested

fake-01Nagpur: Pachpaoli police have reportedly arrested a young man on the charges of running a bogus certificates racket through which he cheated dozens of people by providing them with vital certificates with forged signatures and seals of Tehsil Office. A cache of bogus income certificates, non-creamy layer certificates and other important certificates as well as fake seals of Tehsil Office have been recovered from the accused.

The Tehsildar Gajendra Ramkrishna Balpande (43), resident of Manewada, in his complaint told police that the accused Atul Baban Talmale (25) of Plot No. 53-B(1), Near Sai Mandir, Panchkuva in Pachpaoli, allegedly run a racket of supplying bogus certificates with forged signatures and seals of Government officials in Tehsil Office. The accused Atul Talmale allegedly took huge amounts of money from several needy people by providing them the fake certificates such as income certificates, non-creamy layer certificates and other vital certificates. The accused ran the racket from his residence.

Pachpaoli cops, acting on the complaint of Tehsildar, raided the house the accused Atul Talmale and reportedly arrested him. A number of forged certificates and seals have been seized.

The accused has been booked under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 of IPC and the API Keche is investigating the case further. Involvement of other persons in the racket could not be ruled out.
