Nagpur:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday ripped Congress charges apart and mounted a counter attack on the party and the MPCC President Ashok Chavan. The Spokesman of BJP Girish Vyas turned the tables on Congress by claiming that the party which ran anti-farmer policies during its 15-year rule, the party which climbed the peak of corruption and the Chief Minister who lost his post for involvement in Adarsh scam, are now talking of “Sangharsh Yatra” (struggle movement) against the BJP Government that has just completed one year of rule.

“It is laughable. Nothing else,” said Vyas and added that people will seek answers from Congress on massive corruption in irrigation and other departments during its rule.

“It is unfortunate that the leaders of Congress and Nationalist Congress Party are shamelessly divulging figures of farmers’ suicides in Vidarbha and other parts of State. These very leaders deliberately neglected the depressed farmers during their 15-year rule,” stated the BJP leader. The Congress-NCP Government took loans from DCC Banks in the name of waiving of farmers’ loans. But in reality, the benefits did not reach the farmers. Not the same leaders are talking of waiver of farmers’ loans, added Vyas.

“Today, the BJP Government is making available wheat and rice at Rs 2 and Rs 3 a kg respectively. The children of farmers are being offered free education. The farmers and their families are receiving health facilities free of cost,” asserted the BJP Spokesman while taking the Congress Party head on over various other issues.
