While on one side, the BJP Government is gearing up to celebrate one year in the government, on the other hand, Congress party is gearing up to reveal the anti-people image of the present BJP government.
The Congress party has been alleging that the present government is anti-common-man and pro-corporate.
While addressing a press meet on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, Congress Spokesman P L Punia mentioned about all the schemes made by the Government to remove the social imbalance and alleged that Modi led BJP Government is anti-common man.

“Narendra Modi’s ‘suit-boot ki sarkar’, whose only policy is Corporate Ka Saath–Khud Ka Vikas (with corporate, development of oneself) is mercilessly demolishing the edifice of India’s foundational values of inclusive and equitable development in its insatiable quest to appease a few crony capitalists and trading partners,” AICC spokesman P L Punia said in a press conference here today.

Punia went on to add that the present government cut down the expenditures on different social welfare schemes by Rs 1, 75, 122 Crores. This makes it amply clear that the Modi Government which has been showing the dreams of “Good Days are coming soon” (Achhe Din) is in-fact assuming a policy of pro-corporate and developing themselves. Punia also alleged that BJP has snatched away the right to food from the citizens and cut down 1, 03, 000 crores worth of subsidies. Punia also alleged that BJP Government is in-fact controlled by the RSS.

He claimed that the Congress party will fight tooth and nail against the Land Acquisition Bill. Punia alleged that while on foreign tours, PM Narendra Modi talks as the party leader and not as the Prime Minister which is a wrong practice. According to P L Punia, Modi’s image is slowly taking a beating in the minds of the people. He added that Modi’s government is only doing business of talks and promotion of lies.

Under the BJP-led government in Centre, the agriculture growth has gone down from 4.7 per cent in 2013-14 to 1.1 per cent in 2014-15, the Congress leader said quoting the Economic Survey report 2015.

The Congress leader alleged that the Centre has not released Rs 6,000 to the state for disbursement under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).

Former Congress MP Vilas Muttemwar and former Minister Satish Chaturvedi were also present on the occasion.
