Nagpur: Some people’s ego gets easily bruised over simple or petty issues and often these people end up committing some serious crimes. In a similar incident which occurred on July 6, 2015, a youth had approached the receptionist of Hotel Rahul to get a room. The receptionist had allegedly denied giving the room to the youth. This led to a big argument between the receptionist and the youth. Another bystander, who was present on the occasion in an attempt to mediate and diffuse the situation and tried to intervene between the two, however, the youth turned his anger over the mediator and beat him black and blue.
According to police sources, in a complaint lodged in Ganeshpeth Police Station, a big fight erupted between two groups in Hotel Rahul situated right in front of Main State Transport Bus Stand. This fight resulted in one man losing one teeth, while the second man sustained grievous injuries as a beer bottle was broken over his head.
In the evening of July 6, 2015, a youth identified as Ashish Ashok Yadav aged 23 years and a resident of a house near Hanuman Temple, Model Mills Chawls had an argument with the female receptionist of Hotel Rahul over being denied a room in Hotel Rahul. Meanwhile a criminal identified as Dattatray Shinde who was standing in the porch of the Hotel had attempted to intervene and mediate between the female receptionist and the Ashish Yadav. However, Ashish Yadav had slapped Dattatray Shinde for attempting to mediate.
Irked by this Dattatray Shinde, his friends Ganesh Bhaurao Shinde (aged 50 years), Nilesh Suresh Shinde, Ganesh Shinde had attacked and beat-up Ashish Yadav in front of Ashish Pan Palace, Jadav Square near Hotel Rahul. As a result of this fight, one of teeth of Ashish was broken; the accused had also caused damage to the Ashish Pan Kiosk (Pan Thela).
On the basis of the complaint of the youth Ashish Yadav, the Ganeshpeth Police has registered a case under Sections 325, 427 and 34 of Indian Penal Code and has arrested Ganesh Shinde and Nilesh Shinde.
In a counter complaint lodged with Ganeshpeth Police Station, Nilesh Shinde complained that he and his uncle Dattatray Shinde had asked the youth Ashish Yadav why he slapped Dattatray Shinde when he tried to intervene. At this query, Ashish Yadav, Raju and four other co-accuseds had beaten-up Dattatray Shinde and Nilesh Shinde. One of the accused had broken a beer bottle on the head of Nilesh Shinde.
Police Sub Inspector Rathore of Ganeshpeth Police Station has registered a case under Sections 143, 148, 149, 323 and 324 of Indian Penal Code and has also arrested the accused Ashish Yadav.
