Bawankule performs ‘bhumipujan’ of Rs 3.21 crore development work in Besa

Bhumipujan 1Nagpur: Maharashtra Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, who is also Guardian Minister for Nagpur District, on Monday performed bhumipujan (ground-breaking ceremony) of development work worth Rs 3.21 crore to be undertaken in various areas of Gram Panchayat Besa (Beltarodi). A total of 287 electricity poles will be erected and 22 transformers installed as part of the development work.

The fund for the development work was got approved by Bawankule under District Planning and Social Justice Department’s Special Group Scheme to be undertaken for citizens of Besa. The fund will be utilized for erecting 287 electric poles and installing 22 transformers. Speking on the occasion, the Energy Minister said that the entire work will be completed before monsoon. LED bulbs will be used in the erected poles to facilitate saving of electricity, said Bawankule.

Others who were prominently present on the occasion include Zilla Parishad members Shubhangi Gaidhane, Ruprao Shingne, Panchayat Samiti member Manjusha Bhambulkar, Ajay Bodhare, Besa Upsarpancha Surendra Banait and others.
