Armed hooligans create ruckus at Garba programme in Nandanvan

Nagpur: A gang of eight hooligans, armed with weapons, created ruckus at a Garba programme in Nandanvan area here on Sunday. No arrests have been made in this connection as yet.

The complainant, Harishwar Radharao Rarokar (37), resident of Padole Nagar, Nandanvan, told police that he is Secretary of Hanuman Panch Committee Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha. Around 10 pm on Sunday, the Sanshta had organised Garba programme for kids on the occasion of Navratri Utsav. At the same time, the gang of armed accused namely Pappu Panthelewala, Raju Panthelewala, Sachin Jaiswal, Sachin Deshbhratar, Golu Dhole, Saurabh Parihar, Juber and Sahil Shende entered the venue with the intention of creating ruckus. However, Harishwar and other members of the Sanstha refused their entry. Enraged by the refusal, the accused gang hurled filthy abuses on Harishwar and others and also created ruckus by waving arms.

Nandanvan PSI P D Bambhole has booked the eight accused under sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 294 of the IPC read with Sub-Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act and searching for them.
