Nagpur: “The feelings of the associates to Bharatiya Janata Party should be duly respected in all sense and term,” said BJP national general secretary and in-charge of Maharashtra affairs, Saroj Pande while talking to scribes here in the city on Wednesday. After being assigned a new responsibility, she is on political tour to various states these days, and having toured Mumbai and Pune she reached the city on July 22.

Rejecting the query about BJP-Shiv Sena confrontation these days, she told the media that all associate parties to BJP deserved due honour as regards their thoughts and feelings.

It may be mentioned that BJP’s associates Shiv Sena is displeased with BJP for various reasons, such as, it has not been given representation on several boards and corporations in state, and it is not paid due importance in decision making, etc.

When asked about involvement of ministers in the state and at the Centre in various types of scam, Pande said that no sort of scam had taken place, and the Opposition was unnecessarily propagandizing it. According to her, the BJP cannot be compared with Congress, and no minister is going to tender resignation on baseless allegations.

Replying to a query about ‘saffronization’ of various institutions and educational organizations, she said that the highly seated leaders were earlier playing with cultural values , but now it would not be allowed to happen.

Pande also rejected the rumour about alleged ‘missed-call’ system in membership drive of BJP. She explained, the party is observing ‘Mahasangharsh Parva’ which is divided in three stages—membership drive (sadasyata abhiyan), massive contact (mahasampark) and training (prashikshan). According to her, as many as 1.10 crore members are enrolled with BJP in Maharashtra so far. She praised Chief Minister Devendra Fadanavis for his functioning well, though she skipped many questions under the excuse of being the new in-charge of Maharashtra affairs.
