Agrovision Agro Summit 2017
Nagpur: The annual 4-day Agrovision Agro Summit 2017 will be organised in the city from November 10 to 13. The event, which provides platform for farmers and agriculture industry to explore various opportunities, will be held at Reshimbagh Ground from 11 am to 7 pm. During the Summit, workshops will be held at three different halls at the venue on November 11, 12 and 13. Similarly, Conference will be organised at newly inaugurated Kavi Suresh Bhat Auditorium, Reshimbagh Ground on November 11 and 12, Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways, Shipping and Water Resources Nitin Gadkari announced at a press conference on Saturday.

The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while Gadkari will grace the function as special guest. The Agrovision Expo is likely to be attended by thousands of farmers.

More than 400 stalls of various national and multi-national companies engaged in producing agro products and farming equipment will be put up for the benefits of farmers from across the region, with an idea to educate them on increasing their productivity with the minimum cost of production, Gadkari said. Some of the key stalls to be set up include agriculture machineries, medicines, irrigation and water management, seeds, financial institutions, organic energy, artificial energy, polyhouse, shed-net, livestock, veterinary services, financial investors, insurance, and many more.

The four-day Agrovision event is a combination of exhibition, workshops and conference which provides an interface for farmers and the agriculture industry to explore various opportunities. Agrovision 2017 is an event especially designed to inform farmers about the latest technologies and methods of increasing farm production. The 4-day knowledge imparting movement is no more restricted to the farmers of Vidarbha or Maharashtra as it has turned into a major annual activity of Central India with the participation of farmers from the other states. Agrovision is continuously thriving to achieve a larger space in the lives of farmers. All the efforts of these years have resulted in building Agrovision as the Central India’ s Largest Agri Summit.

The profile of exhibit is based on seed development, floriculture, horticulture, sericulture, agri biotechnology, tractor and farm equipments, greenhouse construction and equipment services, organic and chemical fertilizers, integrated farming, tissue culture, wasteland development, irrigation systems , plantation crops, agro processed foods, oils, beverages and value additions, herbal, medicinal plants and products, non conventional and renewable energy, bio fuel, cold storage, fertilizers and pesticides, watershed management, transgenic plants and seed production, animal husbandry, cattle, poultry, pigs, dairy aquaculture and animal breeders.

The Agrovision event is organised by Agrovision Foundation, MM Activ, Sci-Tech Communications, Vidarbha Financial Development Corporation (VED) and Maharashtra Financial Development Corporation (MEDC).

The event is visited by farmers, representatives from government and semi government sectors, research personnel, academicians and the general public in large numbers.
