753 farmers approved crop loans worth Rs 8.36 crore in district

Nagpur: In a major move, applications of 753 farmers in 13 talukas of Nagpur District were approved for crop loans. These 753 farmers would be provided crop loans to the tune of Rs 8.36 crore by different banks. The decision was taken at a ‘Crop Loan Melava’ organised at various places in the district on Tuesday (May 24). Similarly, out of 195 applications seeking to transform it as loan applications, 177 applications were approved for loans. Now, the applicants will be provided with loans to the tune of Rs 2.87 crore, the District Administration informed in a press release.

The ‘Crop Loan Melava’ was visited by over 2500 farmers. Similarly, over 200 representatives of banks were present on the occasion. A total of 258 ‘No Objection Certificates’ too were issued jointly by cooperative societies and District Central Bank.

CM to interact with talented girls:
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be holding interaction with entrepreneural and talented girls at Persistent Auditorium, IT Park on Friday (May 27). The programme is being organised under the auspices of Skill Development and Entrepreneural Department and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The interaction will be held on novel ventures of profession and counselling.

Union Surface Transport and National Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneural Department Dr Ranjit Patil will also grace the programme and provide guidance to participants.
