4 goons threaten Beer Shoppy owner with life threats, extort Rs 5000, beer bottles; arrested

Nagpur News: Nandanvan Police have arrested four persons who were extorting money by doling out life threat to a Beer Shoppy owner.

According to police, the extortionists Raju alias Bunty Ramdas Thavre, (32), resident of Bhande Plot, Tushar Dilip Wankhede, (25), resident of Nehru Nagar, Aniket Dilip Kale, (23), resident of Aashirvad Nagar, and Sumit Ravi Nagpure (26), resident of Sainagar conspired and resorted to extortion. All the four accused threatened a Beer Shoppy owner to give them Rs 5000 and beer bottles whenever they demand or face dire consequences. The four accused threatened the Beer Shoppy owner Swaraj Ashokrao Lambat (22), a resident of Plot No 99, Gurudeo Nagar, Nandanvan, to kill him if he did not meet their demands. The panicky Swaraj met their demands and gave Rs 5,000 and a carten of beer bottles.

The four accused, “encouraged by the influence” resorted to frequent extortion demands and life threat. The four accused, in the past, had also extorted big amounts and the chilly stuff. However, Swaraj, anyhow gathered guts, and filed a complaint with Nandanvan police against the four extortionists Raju alias Bunty Ramdas Thavre, Tushar Dilip Wankhede, Aniket Dilip Kale, and Sumit Ravi Nagpure. Acting on Swaraj’s complaint, Nandanvan PSI Leverkar booked the four accused under Sections 386, 387, 34 of IPC and arrested all the extortionists.
