IMG-20141124-WA0034-1 Nagpur: A 20-year old boy was stoned to death on Sunday night and his body was found lying in a ground behind South Point School on Manewada Ring Road in Nagpur. No arrest has been made in this connection.

According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Chaitanya alias Chintu Rajendra Dhawad (20), resident of Plot Nop. 110, Ladikar Layout, Manewada Ring Road. Chaitanya had left his home in the evening of Sunday. When he did not return home even after late night hours, his relatives got panicked and lodged a complaint with Ajni Police Station. Meanwhile, around 1.30 am of Monday, the Ajni police received information that a body was lying at the ground behind South Point School.

When the cops reached the spot, they found the body lying in a pool of blood and a motorcycle (MH-31/DU 2605) parked nearby. The body bore crushing blows apparently done with the help of stones by the alleged murderers. After completing the preliminary investigation and paper formalities, cops sent the body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem.

The cops also informed the relatives of Chaitanya about finding of a body near South Point School. When the relatives reached the spot, they identified the body as that of Chaitanya. Cops later registered an offence of murder against the unidentified accused and started their investigation to crack the case.

Police surmise that Chaitanya was murdered during a liquor party slyly being enjoyed in the dark at the deserted ground behind South Point School. Presently, the cops are clueless over the reason behind the ghastly murder.
