Nagpur: Two 75-year old conmen duped many people to the tune of over Rs 30 lakh in land deals. Both the accused have been booked.

The accused, Jagdishsingh Indersingh (75) and Suryabhan Vithobaji Gouvali (75), both residents of Allied Employees Coop Society office, Anant Nagar, unscrupulously negotiated a deal with complainant Sanjay Murlidhar Dongarwar (51) of Azad Nagar, Sadar and many other people on purchase of plots. The two old men, with connivance of each other, forged documents and pretended that they had carved out a layout at Khasra No. 123/1, 115/1 in Mauza Nari and were selling plots. With the bogus deals, the accused Jagdishsingh Indersingh and Suryabhan Gouvali took Rs 1.85 lakh from Sanjay Dongarwar and over Rs 30 lakh from other people towards cost of the plots since December 2010. But the accused neither provided plots to them nor returned their money.

Gittikhadan PSI Kedare has registered a case against the two aged accused under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
