134th Raksha-pension Adalat concluded

Nagpur: The 134th Defence-pension Adalat, which was held for two days on July 30 and 31, at Maintenance Command Headquarters, Vayusena Nagar, here, concluded with satisfactorily sorting out the grievances of pensioners of defence services.

As many as 269 grievances of pensioners were registered of which 72 grievances were redressed on the spot while the remaining cases would also be sorted out soon, informed a press release.

The Adalat was inaugurated at the hands of AOC-in-C Air Marshal Jagjeet Singh, VSM in the prominent presence of pensioners and special invitees.

In his inaugural address, AM Jagjeet Singh termed such pension-Adalats as the integrated and full fledged platform to sort out the probelms of pensioners. He urged all ex-servicemen and their families to derive maximum advantages from the same.

Speaking on the occasion, S S Mohanti, IDAS, dwelt upon the latest measures adopted for sorting out the pensionary problems of defence personnel. According to him, there are 25 lakh defence-pensioners in the country, and now a days maximum cases are disposed of in minimum possible time. He appealed to all pensioners to make use of Toll-free No. 18001805321 for their problems citing their PPO. He also thanked Air Marshal Jagjeet Singh for organizing such a camp in Maintenance Command Headquarters, Nagpur.

Photo 1 (3)The invited representatives of defence installtions, PCDA (Pension) Allahabad, major nationalized banks, Zilla Sainik Board, Army Station Hqrs Kamptee, Ordnance factory Ambazari, etc, were present on the occasion.

More than 500 pensioners also participated in the two-day camp.
