Nagpur: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) celebrated 125th Birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Director (Personnel) Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Finance) S. M. Chaudhary offered garland and flowers on the photograph of Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar in WCL, H.Q today morning.
While addressing august gathering, Director(Personnel) Dr. Sanjay Kumar said that, Dr. Ambedkar was a legendary personality. He opined that we must follow his path way. One should opt at least one good thing from his ideals. Dr. Kumar said that we are privileged that our company headquarters is situated at Nagpur where Deekshabhoomi is also in the city.
Prominently present on the occasion, Saurabh Dubey, WCL Steering Committee Member, Nand kishor Mandlik, General Secretary, SC/ST Council, Vinod Somdeve, President SISTA, HoDs, ladies and employees in large number offered floral tributes to Dr. Baba saheb Ambedkar. Arun Khobragade, Sr. Manager(Personnel)/Liaison Officer, SC/ST Cell conducted the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
In continuation of celebrations, elocution competition for employees will be organised on (Saturday) 16 April 2016. Earlier an essay competition was held on 13 April. Valedictory and prize distribution function will be organized on (Monday) 18 April 2016.
